Certifications show employers that you have the knowledge they desire, making you an attractive candidate. In addition, certifications demonstrate that you have a broad understanding of the technology landscape as well as the duties and responsibilities of various technical jobs. Certifications are the entry point to IT jobs, and are more requested as proof of skill rather than a degree (IT without a degree).
