Dear Student and Parents/Guardians:
Welcome to Quartz Hill High School. My name is Mr. Bryant and I teach Healthful Living. My objective in teaching this course is to provide students with information and strategies that can be used throughout life to enhance personal, family, and community health. My goal is to provide a safe, clean, and structured learning environment in which all students have an opportunity to succeed. All topics that are covered in this class are based on the National Health Education Standards that aim to teach students how to obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information.
* Successful completion of Healthful Living is a district-wide prerequisite to graduation.

Late Work/Absences
Late work will be accepted for half credit until the assessment for the unit is completed. If you are absent the day an assignment is due, you must hand in the assignment the next day you are present to receive full credit. Absences must be excused through the attendance office in order for late work to receive full credit. It is your responsibility to ask for missed assignments. Students have as many days as they were absent to turn in their make-up work.
